In February 2025, the Wenus project partners: Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), InnoRenew CoE, Technological Centre for Furniture and Wood of the Region of Murcia (CETEM), and Globalnet through a collaborative work developed a Joint Curriculum and Methodology: “Wood and timber construction for the future”. This document is a comprehensive guide and a valuable resource for educators, trainers and professionals.
The Wenus joint curriculum consists of:
- Curriculum of the training course
- Pedagogical approach
- Training course methodologies
- Overview of course modules and learning units
- Methodological Guide for Teachers
- Formative Assessment
This document has been designed for flexibility and accessibility. The curriculum follows a modular structure that allows a self-paced, fully online learning journey. It supports both lifelong learning and on-demand training, using web-based and competency-based learning to provide practical knowledge reinforced with assessment tools.
To strengthen its recognition and practical use, the curriculum aligns with EQF Level 4 and integrates ECVET principles, ensuring adaptability across national qualification frameworks. Furthermore, industry professionals and educators will review and adapt the curriculum to ensure its relevance and effectiveness in meeting present and upcoming industry demands.
After the successful validation phase, the training content will be developed and integrated into a specialised e-learning platform, ensuring wide accessibility and an enriching learning experience for all users.
