OPTIMO

The Erasmus+ project ‘OPTIMO’ (2024-2027) aims to increase the expertise of adult educators in teaching oral skills in second and foreign languages and to provide effective methods for the learning and teaching process. The project is based on the assumption that language plays a central role in social integration and opens up new opportunities for migrants. Oral language skills are particularly important from an interactional perspective.

The project focuses on language as a tool for communication. Various exercises and didactic approaches will be developed to specifically promote the ability to express thoughts linguistically. OPTIMO involves language trainers from four different language areas, whose taught languages differ in terms of grammar, expression and pronunciation. The project investigates how oral language skills can be developed both in the teaching-learning process and beyond, in order to strengthen linguistic interaction in the long term.
