The European Commission recently published the draft Circular Economy Act, which has already received almost 1,000 contributions from businesses, industry groups and public institutions. The proposal aims to strengthen the EU’s resilience and competitiveness by improving textile waste management, promoting recycled materials, and boosting circular business models.
As the Commission states: “The Circular Economy Act aims to enhance the EU’s economic security and competitiveness, while promoting more sustainable production and decarbonisation.”
