Fourth ESFC Newsletter: ESFC Mobility Exchange Hosted in Ireland
The European Seniors Friendly Communities (ESFC) project recently held a four-day transnational mobility exchange in County Meath, Ireland, bringing together senior participants, facilitators, and partner organisations from Spain, Italy, and Ireland.
Highlights:
✅ Active Ageing & Social Inclusion – Exchanges focused on community engagement, wellbeing activities, and senior support programmes.
✅ Lifelong Learning – A visit to An Grianán Adult Education College showcased the role of adult education and the Irish Countrywomen’s Association (ICA).
✅ Community Gardening – Gardeners Dynamic presented how gardening promotes wellbeing and social connection among older adults.
✅ Heritage & Culture – Participants enjoyed a breadmaking workshop at Martry Mill and a visit to the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin.
