Promotion of Lombard Heritage in Italy and Slovenia through Accessible Tourism for ALL

27.02.2018

The EU-funded project, "Across Lombards Lands" (A.L.L.) has presented the results of its work to develop accessible itineraries in the tourist destinations with Lombard heritage in and around Spoleto, Italy and in Slovenia. Visit the project website.

Working with public sector and private tourism business and tourist guides in Italy and Slovenia, the A.L.L. project has raised awareness of the business opportunities in making cultural heritage sites accessible for all visitors.
Tour packages have been developed with a view to ensuring that the needs of seniors and other groups with specific access requirements can join in visits and learn about the extraordinary culture of the "Longobards" who reigned in regions of Italy and Slovenia during the 6th to 8th centuries A.D.
A range of training tools and accessibility auditing guidelines are made available to help spread the practice of accessible tourism in European cultural heritage sites and destinations.
Visit the project website at: http://www.acrosslombardslands.eu/ and download the A.L.L. project brochure.
