What membership options are available?

 
E.N.T.E.R. offers three different membership levels, as well as an additional service to register with the pool of EU Project Experts as either an individual  expert or as an expert organisation in connection with European projects.

Why are membership fees charged?

For many years members have used E.N.T.E.R. free of charge. However the online platform has now been modernised and the service offer expanded providing EU project professionals across Europe with a more comprehensive dissemination tool, to promote both themselves and their work. The development and ongoing running costs of the platform therefore need to be covered by the modest membership fees. However we continue to offer basic One Star membership at no cost.

How do you send invoices and how do I pay them?

All invoices are wriiten in English and the amounts are in Euros. Invoices are sent in pdf format by email to the registered account contact. Payment is required within 14 days of the invoice date by bank transfer. Full details for the bank transfer are given on the invoice.

VAT - do I need to pay VAT for E.N.T.E.R. membership and services?

All prices quoted on this website do not include VAT. The payment of VAT is in accordance with the following conditions:

  • business customers based within the EU, but outside Austria, who have a VAT registration number (that can be verified by VIES, European Commission - VIES) will not be charged VAT. They will settle any VAT owing with their own national tax authority. 
  • customers based within the EU but who do not have (or give us) a VAT registration number will be charged VAT at the standard rate applicable in their country.
  • all Austrian customers will be charged VAT at the standard rate in Austria.

When does my membership or EU Project Expert Database entry start?

They start once we have received payment and the membership or database entry has been activated by us. An email informing you of this will be sent at the moment of activation. In the case of One Star members (free of charge) the membership starts as soon as we activate it, within five working days of you completing the registration process.

Bring a Friend

If you know other individuals or organisations working in the field of European cooperation who could gain from being part of the E.N.T.E.R. community then we can all benefit. By introducing a friend to E.N.T.E.R. (2*/3* members, EU experts) then we will offer you a thank you for your efforts.

Fill in the Bring a Friend form and email it to us no later than 14 days following the activation of the new (recommended) member's account, with some basic details about you and the new member you have recommended E.N.T.E.R. to. Choose one of three ways to use your "E.N.T.E.R. Stardust" and we will let you know whether the new member decided to remain a member following the first 14 days or not.

The Bring a Friend Stardust only applies once, when the new member registers for the first time and does not cancel membership within the first 14 days. If a bank transfer is requested then this will be sent within 14 days of the new member deciding to continue with its E.N.T.E.R. membership. If the choice is to have the next fee invoice reduced then we will manually apply it to the invoice.

Operating my membership account

Can I change my membership data?

Yes, at any time you can change the information that was submitted when joining. 

To make changes go to "My Account - Organisation Details" then press "edit"

But please note that in the case of Three Star members only the main contact person for the account can make changes. The additional users are not able to amend the organisation data. Changes will not show immediately.

Can I change the registered account user?

Yes, you can change the name and email address for the account user. Go to "My Account - Account Settings" then fill in the form with the new information. Changes will not show immediately.

What should I do if I forget my password?

On the homepage click on "Log in" and then the link “Forgot your password?”. You then need to fill in the email address registered with your account and then a verification code will be emailed to you. Then you can choose a new password.

Can I change my password?

Yes. There is a link to do this within the "Account Settings" part of your Member Dashboard.

Where can I see invoices?

In the "My Account" section of your Member Dashboard there is a link to view all the invoices we have ever sent you. Here you can view and download each invoice as a pdf file.

How do I renew my membership?

Membership is valid for one year from the day it is activated.

One Star members: your free membership will be automatically renewed on its anniversary and you will be sent a short email to confirm this.

Two and Three Star members: you will receive an email from us four weeks, two weeks and one week before your renewal date asking you to log in to your dashboard to start the renewal process in the “My Account” section. We will then send you the invoice via email. The next year’s membership simply starts on the renewal date, provided payment is received within the timescale specified on our invoice.

How do I renew my EU Project Expert Database entry?

You will receive an email from us four weeks, two weeks and one week before your renewal date asking you to log in to your dashboard to start the  renewal process in the “My Account” section. We will then send you the invoice via email. The new year simply starts on the renewal date, provided payment is received within the timescale specified on our invoice.

Can I upgrade my membership?

Yes certainly, at any time. Just click on the upgrade button in your Member Dashboard and select which level you want to upgrade to.

One Star members upgrading to Two or Three Star membership: the new membership level will start on the day it is activated, following payment of the invoice.

Two Star members upgrading to Three Star membership: If you upgrade part way through the year we will deduct any unused fee from the full cost of the Three Star membership. The new Three Star membership will begin for a full year on the day it is activated.

Is it possible to cancel my membership?

One Star members: membership can be cancelled at any time.

Two and Three Star members: membership can be cancelled at any time. If it is cancelled within the first 14 days from the activation date a full refund is given. If membership is cancelled at any other time no part of the fee will be refunded.

Is it possible to cancel my EU Project Expert Database entry?

Will the fee levels change?

From time to time we may need to review fee levels. Any changes to fees will only impact on you at the next renewal of your membership and/or EU Project Expert database entry. However we will communicate any fee changes very clearly to all members.

Searching for member content

Any visitor to the site to is able to search for events, products in the E.N.T.E.R.zone, news articles and EU Project Experts. However only Two and Three Star members can search for other members and registered projects.

What can I post in the News section?

The purpose is for Two and Three Star members to communicate news to their colleagues across Europe. For example to tell about exciting developments in their field of work or in projects, highlight challenges being faced in specific sectors, issues that affect working in EU funded projects and much more. Articles can contain links to external sources, an image or picture and a file to download.

What is the E.N.T.E.R.zone?

This part of the E.N.T.E.R. platform is for promoting products that have been created by projects that are at least partly funded by the EC. For example a training manual or an app could be promoted here. There could be a cost involved to purchase the product or it could be offered free of charge. Therefore through E.N.T.E.R. the organisation/person offering a product and the organisation/person wishing to use the product can be brought into contact with each other.

How do I register a project, event or product?

Two and Three Star members can begin to register items once their membership has been activated. Events are live in the system immediately whereas projects and products do require us to carry out a simple approval process. This is to ensure the quality of all member content in the system, i.e. that a project is funded by the EC and that a product meets basic criteria.

How many items can I register?

Three Star members can register an unlimited number of projects, events and products. Two Star members can register a maximum of 2 projects, 2 products and 4 events per membership year. One Star members cannot register any items, but they can upgrade to Two or Three Star membership at any time.

I have registered an item but it has not been activated yet?

We ask you to allow five working days for us to complete the approval process for projects and products. Often this will not take us very long at all, and if there are any problems or if we need any further information we will contact you quickly.

Can a project be registered by more than one member?

To ensure the quality of content on the E.N.T.E.R. platform we ask that just one partner in a transnational group takes responsibility for registering a project. This would generally be the coordinator or main dissemination partner, and should be agreed internally within the project group. If a project is registered more than once we will ask for clarification about the reason for this.

What does EU Project Expert mean?

We have set some basic criteria for an individual person or organisation to be presented as an expert, namely participation in at least three European projects and at least three years EU project experience. The usefulness and credibility of this facility depends upon correct and honest information being presented.

Why do I need to be at least a One Star member to register with the EU Project Expert Database?

This is necessary as you need a log in to the system to register an EU Project Expert profile and to have a Member Dashboard from which you can operate the EU Project Expert entry.

What types of files can I upload when registering items?

When registering news articles, projects, events, products and EU Project Expert entries you can upload the following files:

Logo/image/photo files:
  • A 4:3 width/height ratio gives best presentation
  • Maximum file size permitted: 800 pixels wide, 600 pixels high
  • File types permitted: JPG, GIF, PNG

General text files:
  • Maximum file size permitted: 10 MB
  • File types permitted: MS Office (PPT, PPTX,XLS, XLSX, DOC, DOCX), Open Office files (odt, ods, odp), PDF, JPG.



Email Alerts

Do I need to be a member of E.N.T.E.R. to disseminate information?

Two and Three Star members can disseminate information about their projects, events and products using the Email Alert system. Items need to be registered first of all.

Three Star members can also send Email Alerts to EU Project Experts (organisations and individuals).

All organisations and individuals registered as EU Project Experts (regardless of their membership level) can use Email Alerts to promote their experience and expertise to potential new partners.

How do I send an email alert?

In your Member Dashboard go to "My Email Alerts" and press the "New item" button. This will take you to a simple form to enter what you want to say in the Email Alert. You can attach a file too (up to 1MB).

To ensure your Email Alert is effective remember to keep the content interesting and useful for the receivers!

How often can I send an email alert?

You can send a maximum of seven Email Alerts in any seven day period. However please bear in mind that sending one every day to other members about the same item may not be the most effective way of encouraging interest about what you wish to communicate!

How do I know how many members received my Email Alert?

The system automatically produces a report detailing the content of the Email Alert and the numbers of recipients, breaking them down according to country and organisation type. This report is in pdf format and can be downloaded from the "My Email Alerts" page.


I have sent an Email Alert but the statistics report shows zero recipients?

This is probably because the Email Alerts are still being sent out by the system. This can take up to a few hours depending on how many recipients there are and the amount of traffic the server hosting E.N.T.E.R. is having to deal with. Once all the Email Alerts have been sent then the report will show the correct numbers of recipients.

I am unable to send out any Email Alerts?

This could be due to a number of different reasons.

  • You have not yet registered a project, event, product or EU Project Expert entry.
  • Your project, product or EU Project Expert entry has not yet been approved and activated by us. You can find the status of the item within your Member Dashboard.
  • You have already sent seven emails within the last seven days, which is the maximum allowed. In such a case you would need to wait until the number sent in the last seven days drops to below seven.

What can I do if I do not receive many Email Alerts?

Please check your Email Alert Profile within your Member Dashboard and expand its scope if necessary. Go to "My Account - Account Settings - Email Alert Profile - edit".

What can I do if I receive too many Email Alerts?

Please check your Email Alert Profile and reduce its scope if necessary. Go to "My Account - Account Settings - Email Alert Profile -edit".

When you first become an E.N.T.E.R. member you will receive every single Email Alert sent by members. To define more specifically what you wish to receive please edit your Email Alert profile.

How can I manage the Email Alerts I receive?

If you wish to stop receiving Email Alerts from a certain member or about a particular project, event etc. then go to the Email Alert Blocking Overview in the Email Alert Profile part of My Account and select the relevant member or content item.

If you go to "My Account - Account Settings - Email Alert Profile - edit" then you can change your areas of activity and target group focus that determine the Email Alerts you receive.

In addition you can unblock any members or registered items which you had previously chosen not to receive Email Alerts from by using the Email Alert Blocking Overview.

How do I contact E.N.T.E.R.?

How long are E.N.T.E.R.’s response times?

We are committed to providing the best possible service. As a minimum we will respond within five working days in all matters, for example answering an information request, emailing an invoice, activating an account or responding to a complaint. However in practice most of the time we will respond much quicker than this.
